typical of Fox

News Corp Set To Air 9/11 Documentary Glorifying Bush; Producer Says He’s Not Interested In ‘Facts’
(Think Progress)
Are people really going to try to spin the facts that the worst president this country has ever seen let the worst terrorist act occur on our soil which led to devastating, unrelated wars and the destruction of our economy become a positive somehow?!

but gawd forbid we make any cuts!

proving he was even crazier than bush

jeez - we're not rid of this moron yet?

‘Joe the Plumber’ may run for Congress
I thought everyone had forgotten about this idiot. Sadly, repugs think he is something positive for their side...

repugs love pollution

now both bush & cheney have freely admitted to war crimes

Cheney: 'No regrets' about waterboarding suspects
And, of course, the media will yawn and go on to yammer about the tea party instead...

repugs have no problem in raising taxes on those who can't afford it

GOP may OK tax increase that Obama hopes to block
But gawd forbid we let the bush tax cuts - which were supposed to expire a couples years ago - end, which would essentially end our debt "crisis" with the revenue it would produce.

The repugs are a bunch of sick bastards...

never underestimate Fox viewers

Fox Viewers Overwhelmingly Think We Should Prepare For Alien Invasion Before Fighting Climate Change
(Think Progress)
Yes, I'm sure that many respondents took this as a joke, but still....
This did make me laugh out loud, though!

the media actually reporting on how crazily extreme Perry is

Seven ways Rick Perry wants to change the Constitution
He really doesn't like America or what it was built on at all, does he? Why does he want to live here, much less be president, if he hates our freedoms and rights so much?

and even more repug hypocrisy

more of the usual repug lies

continued repug stimulus hypocrisy

Thursday, August 18, 2011

c'mon - really?

Another Bachmann History Flub: The American People Are Worried About ‘The Rise Of The Soviet Union’
(Think Progress)
She can't be serious, can she? She must be a plant to just show how absurd repugs can be, right?
I mean, what could she possibly have meant here?

anti-science Perry

Coburn Suggests Taking Care of The ‘Frail Elderly’ Is Unconstitutional Because ‘That’s A Family Responsibility’
(Think Progress)
Two obvious questions arise - what about those who cannot afford to help their elderly family members and what about the elderly who have no family?

Once again, the repugs showing that they only want to help the ultra-wealthy, not those who actually need help.

Wednesday, August 17, 2011

that Perry sure is a winner...

they need to understand that someone accomplishing something good for the country is not an impeachable offense

Presidential candidate Herman Cain said it would be “great” to impeach President Obama, saying yesterday that the administration’s position on the Defense of Marriage Act and support for the Affordable Care Act are impeachable offenses.

(Think Progress)

not even close to what he said

Criticizing billionaire Warren Buffett, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) said on the stump yesterday that “perhaps Mr. Buffett would like to give away his entire fortune above $200,000. That’s what you want to do? Have at it.” ABC News responds, “Bachmann’s own soundbyte is not entirely accurate. Buffett did not suggest no one could make more than $200,000.”

(Think Progress)
Does she really expect anyone to think that anyone is advocating the rich giving away all their money over $200,000.00? Just how stupid does she think the American public is? This is just absurd...

I don't think that word means what you think it means...

And finally: After wishing Elvis a happy birthday on his death day, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) corrected her gaffe yesterday, acknowledging his “passing” in South Carolina. She also played the song “Promised Land” and began dancing, saying, “Maybe we’ll turn it on at the end and do some shagging up here. If you want to shag a little bit, that’s what we’ll do.” Apparently the shag is a dance.

(Think Progress)
Though I know there are some perverted repugs who would probably want to "shag a little bit" with her...

Bachmann lies - what a surprise

he doesn't believe in government - why is he running for president?

Rick Perry: ‘I Don’t Think The Federal Government Has A Role’ In Education
(Think Progress)
Sounds like an anarchist to me....

more Fox racism

Fox’s Bolling: ‘We’re Keeping An Eye On’ Chris Christie’s Muslim Judge Appointee
(Think Progress)
Paranoid beyond any reason and completely twisted. A network of psychotics...

how does anyone not know this?

Michele Bachmann Wishes Elvis Happy Birthday...on the Anniversary of His Death
(Crooks and Liars)
Seriously? Just how stupid is she?

oh that "liberal media"

not even pretending to tie his perceived cause to the effect

a moderate republican?

GOP Super Committee Member Pledges Not To ‘Chop’ Entitlement Benefits Or Raise The Retirement Age
(Think Progress)
Wow - he sounds sane! He must be wildly unpopular with the other republicans!

a good portion of our population would disagree with this

only makes sense if you're a repug

LOTS of Perry craziness

money is only for the rich - not for those who need it

the insane repug religious extremists

Friday, August 12, 2011

Bachmann continues to lie and the "liberal media" let her

maybe sometime someone should read the Constitution to the repugs, cuz they sure have no idea what is in it

is this the repug policy? corporations are people but poor & middle class human beings are not?

Wednesday, August 10, 2011

not even trying to make sense

Rep. Burgess To Tea Party: Yes, We Need To Impeach Obama
(Crooks and Liars)
They are freeing admitting that they have no reason other than that they do not like Obama. They have no basis for an impeachment (unlike the innumerable legal reasons why bush could and should have been impeached), but they want to anyway.

Stewart becoming more and more conservative

WATCH: Jon Stewart Defends Michele Bachmann
(Huffington Post)
This seems like a story about nothing whatsoever. Yes, Bachmann is not the most photogenic politician but why is this a big deal? I honestly couldn't figure out the problem when I first saw the photo. This just looks like a hundred other photos of her.

I think Stewart is trying way too hard to be "fair and balanced".

blaming Obama for their own work

GOP candidates slam Obama on US credit downgrade
Of course everyone, including the S&P, knows that the downgrade is due to the repugs' refusal to let the US raise any revenue via taxes, but it is all Obama's fault.

Though, in a way, it is because he let the repugs get everything they wanted in the debt "negotiations", so it is his fault that he didn't insist on tax increases, which everyone in the world knows would help the situation.

a lot of us would welcome this

Nader: ‘Almost 100 percent’ chance of a Democratic primary challenger to Obama
I think that Obama went in with the best intentions - he certainly campaigned well and with high ideals - but he is not a good enough fighter for the reality that is the presidency.

Of course, I will still vote for him if he is the Democratic candidate - cuz gawd forbid one of the insane repugs get elected again - but it would sure be nice to have a strong liberal in office as opposed to this weak centrist (at best).

oh, the irony

Thursday, August 04, 2011

good for him

well, duh

true, but hardly news - I think most repugs would admit this

but gawd forbid we inch this back up a little

PLEASE stand up to these asshole bullies who think they can get away with any and everything - since they have so far

somehow I'm not betting on this

that's not suspicious or anything, is it?

freely admitting that repugs lie

explain to me again why anyone who is not a multi-millionaire would ever vote for a repug

completely insane - and completely sexist

insane religious extremists

truly demented

yes, cuz preventing unwanted pregnancies mean that no one will ever have a baby again

WTF? Does she even try to make sense any more?

yes, I laughed out loud again

Fox & Friends Blasts Obama For Ramadan Proclamation: ‘Why Isn’t There An Outreach To The Christian World’
(Think Progress)
Besides the fact that repug presidents have done this for years, and the fact that Obama hosts more Christian ceremonies than anything else, the idea that there needs to be an "outreach" to Christians in America is truly laughable.

we would in a second if an actual liberal ran against him

Tuesday, August 02, 2011

i think that people like Lieberman are the extremists that can cause the worst damage to the country

Fox ‘Expert’ Blasts Expanding Access To Birth Control: ‘Are We Going To Do Pedicures And Manicures As Well?’
(Think Progress)
I truly cannot comprehend how anyone thinks that preventing unwanted pregnancies is a bad thing. It boggles the mind.

and so the repugs will blame the economy on Obama and he will lose in 2012 because of this bad deal

REPORT: Debt Ceiling Deal Will Cost 1.8 Million Jobs In 2012
(Think Progress)
....and that's exactly what the repugs want - no matter what the cost to our country.

some good news

cuz now they know it works

Mitch McConnell Vows To Hold Debt Ceiling Hostage In The Future: ‘We’ll Be Doing It All Over’
(Think Progress)
I suppose why shouldn't they? They know that they can get any and everything they want when they pull these stunts, no matter what the cost to the country.

wouldn't it be nice if there really was a progressive media?

once again, the repugs get everything they want and the rest of us get shit

Obama signs historic debt deal into law
This seems to be historically bad, but I guess we have to just be glad that the repugs didn't let the country default just to make a partisan point. Oh boy....
Wouldn't it be nice if the Dems stood up for their interests (which is the average American) as strongly and defiantly as the repugs do for the ultra-wealthy?
