its all theater
I finally realized something that I'm sure a good portion of people already know. People like Ann Coulter don't actually believe what they're saying. At some point they just realized that saying the most absurd and outrageous and ridiculous things possible would make them money. I mean, look at this quote :
No one with a fraction of a brain could say something that stupid sincerely. And she has to have a little bit of a brain, because she understands self promotion and money. I'm sure that she isn't even politically motivated - its all about money, not politics.
Unfortunately, by pandering to the lowest common denomator, she is hurting this country - because somewhere there are people dumb enough to think she is speaking some sort of truth. She knows it, too, but doesn't care - she's just laughing all the way to the bank and doesn't care how many people are hurt because of her outrageousness.
Its just sad that people find this nonsense entertaining and would rather have this damaging silliness in place of actual news.
