alternative reality at work again!

Sometimes I think that I'm an emotional masochist. I check out freerepublic from time to time just to see how the "other side" views today's issues. Obviously, this is either a satire site or an extreme-extreme-extreme-extremist site, but the "reasoning" at work here in astounding!
Their current villian seems to be Nancy Pelosi. They have come across a quote that she plans to use later tonight and have reacted to a simple statement as if it were a call to war!
The quote is:

"Because of the courage of our servicemen and women and the determination of the Iraqi people, Iraq's election on Sunday was a significant step toward Iraqis taking their future into their own hands."

"Now we must consider our future in Iraq. We all know that the United States cannot stay in Iraq indefinitely and continue to be viewed as an occupying force. Neither should we slip out the back door, falsely declaring victory but leaving chaos... We have never heard a clear plan from this Administration for ending our presence in Iraq."

Pretty simple, self-explanatory and obvious, isn't it? She's just asking for a plan, something which we should have had years ago. No insults in any way, shape or form. The problem? She states the fact that to some Iraqis we are viewed as occupiers. A pretty obvious fact to most people, but check the link above to see the "right's" reaction and their twists of the words and meaning! It never fails to amaze me that the left's arguements are based on facts and the "right's" are based on lies & twisting of words until the original meaning has been drained completely!
