but a scandal if Eason Jordan, of CNN, says something that is interpreted as the same thing, even without any record of what he said.

Well, the repugs win this one. Jordan resigns. Not having heard what he said (as no one else has, either), I really can't comment, other than the fact that this resignation was caused by hearsay. Too bad that certain people who are proven liars that have caused the deaths of thousands of Americans haven't resigned!
