debate

For a style that was supposed to favor McCain ("town hall"), I thought that Obama did fantastically well. He was poised, well spoken, had logical, well reasoned answers at all times and called out McCain's lies and distortions.

McCain was rude, interrupted Obama, stood up and walked around and Obama spoke (while Barack sat respectfully) and continued to repeat long-debunked lies.

McCain did not use the foul smears that Palin has been spouting lately, which was refreshing, but he certainly did nothing to renew his campaign.

Obama continues to be presidential while McCain seems old and out of place.

Every debate has positively gone to the Democrats. Whether this will affect the election, no one knows, but Obama has shown what he is made of.

From Americablog:

CNN Flash Poll: Obama won 54% - 30%

CNN announced the results of their flash poll. "54% of debate watchers say Obama did the best job; 30% say McCain."

Obama's favorability rating also improved from 60% to 64%.
