Dems continuing to try to help the environment, despite this administration

House Dems seek to overturn EPA on California emissions.

In December, EPA administrator Stephen Johnson overruled agency staff in order to reject California’s strict emissions standards for automobiles. Yesterday, House Democrats introduced legislation to overturn his decision. The EPA has “said no to the states. They’ve said no to their own scientists. They’ve said no to common sense,” said Rep. Peter Welch (D-Vt.) in a press conference yesterday. “It’s time for EPA to lead, follow, or get out of the way.”
