Grand Canyon even older than previously thought!

It took eons to make Grand Canyon grand

WASHINGTON - Gazing into the majestic Grand Canyon, awe-struck visitors inevitably ask: "How old is it?" Far older than generally thought, says new evidence that scientists culled from caves lining the canyon's red limestone cliffs.

The Grand Canyon often is referred to as about 6 million years old — but its western half actually began to open at least 17 million years ago, a University of New Mexico team reports Friday in the journal Science.

Pretty incredible that "young-earth" wackos think that this majestic site was created in a matter of days by a world-wide flood! Even more incredible is that they have infiltrated the government to such an extent that the Grand Canyon tours can no longer report the true age of the canyon!
