Forgive an old-timers' anaolgy, but this kinda reminds me of the Doors declaring the "war is over" in their song "The Unknown Soldier" and stoned hippies celebrating this! Except, of course, that they were referring to a war that was happening in the real world back then.

This is just an idiot who made up a "war" and then declared victory in it - who else would be able to? He was the only one who knew it was happening!
