Former No. 2 at FBI Identified as Watergate Source

WASHINGTON (June 1) - Watergate whistleblower Deep Throat played a central role in one of the biggest White House scandals ever, helping bring down a president and inspire a political mystery so famous his nickname earned an entry in Webster's. Thirty years later, the source is secret no more.

At age 91, after decades of hiding his role as The Washington Post's tipster from politicians, the public and even his family, former FBI official W. Mark Felt told his secret to a lawyer his family had consulted on whether Felt should come forward.

The identity of this man is not as startling as the poll that AOL has with the article. When asked "Did Mark Felt do the right thing during Watergate?", 39% said no!!! Admittedly, compared to bush, Nixon was a piker and was only a fraction of the criminal that bush is, but still! He WAS a crook and lied and had it covered up and on top of that, was a detested president who was terrible for this country! Again, not a millionth as bad as our current president, but definitely someone who had to go for the good of the US. Now, if only we had anyone in the press who would take on the billion bush atrocities!
