Jonah Goldberg is peeved at Howard Dean's over-the-top rhetoric:

Dean declared, "Our moral values, in contradiction to the Republicans', is we don't think kids ought to go to bed hungry at night."

Did I miss the pro-hungry children plank in the GOP platform?

Ha! Silly Democrats!

Of course, Republicans declared their attention to cut farm subsidies, acquiring glowing media attention for doing so, but then quietly decided to change their minds, leave the farm subsidies right where they were, and cut food stamps instead. Thus sending kids to bed at night hungry. But Jonah's right: That really wasn't in the party platform.
