tolerent people will not be tolerated!

This story is unbelievable. There is something seriously fucked up with this country's morality and we should all be very ashamed.
The United Church of Christ planned on running TV ads that basically say, "like Jesus -- the United Church of Christ seeks to welcome all people, regardless of ability, age, race, economic circumstance or sexual orientation."
Sounds like a good message right? Hey we're a Church and we are practicing the teachings of Jesus, to love and respect everyone. Right?
Well NBC and CBS have both refused to air the ad saying that it's, get this, too controversial. Here's part of the response from CBS taken from UCC's press release about the issue.
"Because this commercial touches on the exclusion of gay couples and other minority groups by other individuals and organizations," reads an explanation from CBS, "and the fact the Executive Branch has recently proposed a Constitutional Amendment to define marriage as a union between a man and a woman, this spot is unacceptable for broadcast on the [CBS and UPN] networks."
So because the Bush administration has decided to change our constitution to define what they believe the definition of marriage should be, a Church isn't even allowed to insinuate that they are welcoming of gay couples into the house of the Lord.
You can watch the commercial here (the ad is down as of right now, keep trying though). The ad doesn't even specifically mention gay couples, it merely alludes to the fact that EVERYONE is welcome to worship at the UCC. But apparently that concept is to revolutionary for CBS and NBC.
The next time you are having a discussion about homosexuality, beware. The thought police might have something to say about your unacceptable level of tolerance toward others.

I am incredulous! This church (which i admit i know nothing about) is being discriminated against for practicing Jesus' word and being tolerent of others!!! How can people justify this?! Especially people claiming to be Christians?! I think my mind will have a meltdown after 4 more years of this insanity!!
