repugs continuing to do their best to destroy our economy

Barely Bipartisan But a Senate Stimulus Deal is Done

The U.S. Senate looks to be on track to pass a bill that sounds almost exactly like what President Barack Obama asked for last month. The measure - now heralded as $780 billion, down from $890 billion - will include about 40% in tax cuts and more than 80% of the spending will flood the faltering economy within the next 18 months. But with just three Republican votes, the bill falls well short of the bipartisan goal Obama worked hard to achieve.

Yeah, even though the Dems put in 40% (!!!) useless tax cuts just to appease the repugs, the repugs are still voting against it. This way they have sabotaged the bill but they can still blame the Dems when it doesn't do as much as it should.

The repugs continue to play politics while the country's future is at stake. These are heartless scumbags who care about nothing except regaining power, no matter what the cost to the country.

Hopefully, when it goes back to the House, they can take out some of the useless tax cuts and return some actual stimulus.
