nice of him to say this, but you know he'd have been all over it if it happened during the campaign
McCain scolds GOP for whacking Obama
In a surprising rebuke to the warriors who fought for him through tough times, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Sunday sided with President-elect Barack Obama and scolded the Republican National Committee for fanning the Illinois corruption scandal.
----
But he has to realize how ridiculous this makes the repugs look. Again, what possible gain could Obama have received from this? Obama is the freakin' president now - he doesn't need this. There is simply no logic in him being involved. But, logic never stops the repugs.
And all of that is besides the point that the gov stated that he didn't care for Barack in no uncertain terms.
