I know they are just trying to show "gaffes" and a couple are bad and a couple are completely and totally banal.
But the bit about taxes being patriotic - and, of course, they lie about the income amount - is plain common sense. It IS patriotic to want to help your country in a time of need, especially when you easily can - as the ultra-rich can. I don't know how they can argue otherwise. But, the entire repug mantra is anti-tax, so it doesn't have to make sense.
