On McCain's side, the repugs really don't like him but don't really have a choice and regardless, in order to stay with their party they will have to vote for more of the same disasters that we've been having for the last 8 years. No matter how deluded they are, they know deep inside this hasn't been good for anyone.

On the other hand, Obama's supporters know that we will get a real change - at least as much as a politician in this government can do. But at least there is hope for something tangible.
