Despite the fact that the Vitter scandal occured in July of 2007, the absurdity of this claim is astonishing!
The media is making a big deal about this new scandal, which is all the more newsworthy due to its rarity in the Democratic party. Whereas, the repugs regularly have multiple, hypocritical scandals all the while calling themselves the party of "values" and "morals".
So, one Democratic governor being involved in a scandal is not likely to affect a House or Presidential election, unlike scandals involving senators, congressmen and presidential candidates (speaking of which, whatever happened to the McCain sex scandal?).
