because bush doesn't give a f'k about helping people
Bush to veto stem cell bill today
---
I just can't understand why the Dems can't get enough votes to over-ride this madman's veto! No one in the entire world agrees with him (except for a handful of extremist nutcases) so why can't the Dems get anything done?! This is so frustrating! They keep trying to help this country, but the obstructionist repugs keep them from getting anything done.
And, as I said before, this will come back and bite the Dems because the same repugs who are blocking all progress will be ones who will claim that the Dems didn't accomplish anything while they were "in power".
This is why it is so maddening that we (the country) won by such a small margin last year - we don't have enough of a majority and the repugs continue to kiss bush's ass, so no progress can be made.
We can only hope that the sheeple in this country are not fooled by the repug's massive PR machine - and the fact that they own almost all of the media - and actually vote in their best interests in 2008, before it's too late for us all.
Put more elquently at Americablog by John Aravosis but I think that he has too much faith in the American public. People have voted against their (our) best interest for too long - I'll be surprised when they stop.
