Spitzer introduces gay marriage bill. Today, New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer (D) introduced a bill to legalize same-sex marriage, making him “the first governor in the nation to introduce a gay marriage bill.” Read Spitzer’s statement HERE.

I find it almost bizarre that politicians pander to extremists so much that bills like this aren't commonplace. It is only common sense - this will have to happen eventually - why do people want to be known as backwards-thinking bigots in the 21st century?
