bush vs reality

WASHINGTON - President Bush, standing firmly against a timetable for withdrawing U.S. troops from Iraq, said Tuesday that he will veto the latest war spending bill taking shape in Congress.

FORT BRAGG, N.C. - The nine U.S. soldiers killed and 20 wounded when a truck bomb exploded next to their patrol base in Iraq were paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division, the division said Tuesday.

Maj. Tom Earnhardt, a spokesman for the division at Fort Bragg, said it was the deadliest attack the division had faced since the Iraq war began.

It also was the single deadliest attack on ground forces since Dec. 1, 2005, when a roadside bomb killed 10 Marines and wounded 11 on a foot patrol near Fallujah. An insurgent group that includes al-Qaida in Iraq claimed responsibility, according to an Internet-posted statement Tuesday.

This is what bush wants to continue...it is obvious to everyone except him that we need a change of course, but he just wants to kill as many americans as possible.
