this can't be a surprise

“As support for the war fades, demand for yellow ribbons has collapsed,” the Financial Times reports.”Magnet America, the largest manufacturer of the product, has seen sales fall from a peak of 1.2m in August 2004 to about 4,000 a month and now has an unsold stockpile of about 1m magnets.”

This was a moronic, pointless fad anyway, that did nothing for the troops that the owners of the stickers claimed to be supporting. Some of us really have worked to actually support the troops - working to supply them with proper armor, health care, benefits, etc - not to mention trying to end this insane and pointless war.
