the repugs continue to fail at the "war on terror"

The ever-so-conveniently timed foiled terrorist plot is yet another example of how the repugs will politicize any and everything in order to win elections, but also makes me wonder why any sane person would think that the repugs have done anything to help the US in their self-proclaimed "war on terror".
The worst terror attack on our soil happened under bush's watch, he let the ringleader of that attack go scot-free, he invaded an unrelated country and in doing so has created a huge number of new terrorists, he has done nothing to make our borders, ports, airports, subways, train stations, etc etc etc, any safer and on & on.
If the public wants to actually do something regarding this war on terror, then the obvious answer is to elect a new team!
