with many apologies to MLK

I have a dream, as well.
I dream that someday the dems will actually stand up and represent the people of the US and that we will be freed from the tyranny of the extremist right wing maniacs who have stolen our country from us.
I dream that someday America will once again stand for what it once did – freedom, equal rights for all, ethical treatment for all people, regardless of race, creed, color or country of origin, respect for the earth, belief and encouragement in the advancement of the sciences, and a sane approach to foreign policy.
I dream that someday I will again be proud to be an American instead of ashamed of the things that we are doing and embarrassed by the person who was “elected” to lead us.
I dream that someday I can believe that the government actually wants what is best for the people of this country, instead of merely catering to big businesses and the ultra-rich.
I dream the dreams of our forefathers, who are certainly rolling in the graves.
I dream that this will happen before it is too late, because we are currently on a course to extinction.
I dream that someone has the strength and the courage to lead and to bring justice to this land, once again.
I only hope that I am not the only one dreaming….
