WH accusations without any basis (what a surprise!)
White House rejects Gore assertion on eavesdropping
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House on Tuesday rejected Al Gore's assertion that President George W. Bush broke the law in authorizing domestic eavesdropping and said the former vice president's comments showed "hypocrisy."
---
Well, we already know for a fact that bush did break the law - its just a matter of whether or not anyone will call him on it, officially.
As for Gore being a hypocrite, it is interesting that there was no explanation as to why Gore explaining to the public that bush broke the law makes Gore a hypocrite. Obviously, Gore hasn't broken any laws, and certainly wasn't involved in spying on the American public without warrants, so that was a strange accusation!
More from Americablog. The latest spin is that the repugs are lying and accusing Clinton/Gore of doing the same thing that bush is doing, though of course, that is completely untrue. What a surprise!
