this is pretty pathetic

i know that we're supposed to be happy about this election in Ohio because we came so close in a GOP dominated area, but i am getting sick of having to be happy about close calls! I mean, we can't win against a bat-shit crazy, talking-point spouting, proven liar of a lunatic with a Iraqi vet on our side! I know that the repugs have all the money in the world and all the media and everything else on their side, but if the majority of the public still picks a maniac over a sane veteran in this day of ever-increasing, proven repug corruption, do we ever have any hope?

We're supposed to be happy that Bolton got in with a recess appointment - as if he'll do less damage that way.

We're supposed to be happy with John Roberts because he's not (outwardly) as big of a wackjob as some of the people bush could have nominated.

We're supposed to be happy with the filibuster deal that gave the repugs everything that they wanted and gave us less than nothing.

We're supposed to be happy whenever there's even a mention of the Downing Street Minutes, Karl Rove, Jeff Gannon, the uncountable lies, etc etc etc on any MSM, even though nothing ever happens.

I am literally at the point of thinking that nothing that we do means anything at all. They throw us a couple of small bones to make us think that we're accomplishing something, when, in fact, it means nothing. I am starting to wonder if in our lifetimes we are going to have to flee this country in fear of our lives because the government will start hunting down dissenters. The one party rule is becoming all-encompassing. They hate us with every fiber of the being and what nothing more than to be rid of us.

If something significant doesn't happen soon, then i am certain that we are doomed.....i know that that sounds a bit over the top, but if you don't think its possible, i don't think that you've been paying attention....

I hope that i'm wrong, but its looking disasterous for us and this country....
