Terri Schiavo, the Brain-Damaged Florida Woman, Dies 13 Days After Feeding Tube Removed

I admit that i got as caught up in this craziness as anyone else, but as Greg at The Talent Show pointed out, everything really got interesting when the repugs got involved even though the VAST majority of Americans thought that they should not. I know that the American public has an extremely short memory and this will all be swept under the rug and forgotten by most people, but it did show just how far away from the mainstream that the repugs have gone.

Their incredible hypocrisy showed, as well, when it was revealed that people like DeLay "murdered" his own father in the same manner than he was condemning Michael Schiavo for.

It is amazing that it took 15 years to comply with this woman's wishes. We can only hope that anyone else who finds themselves in this horrible situation does not have to go through the indignity that TS, her husband, and her family was put through.

If only the government - especially the repugs - would stay out of our private lives. Maybe now the public will know the extent that they want to control every aspect of our lives. Maybe it will finally start to sink in. We can only hope.
